We are strategists, digitalists, pragmatists, truth seekers, consensus-builders, brand believers, idea creators, and our success is defined by your results, not billable hours.
It used to be so easy. Just hire smart people, stick to the four P's, and with a little execution you could watch your marketing program soar to new heights. But today? It's splintered and specialized like never before, and becoming even more so by the day. The lines are blurred between marketing, technology, sales, e-commerce, service delivery and strategy, making roles and functions across each nearly indiscernible. The role of the marketing leader is undoubtedly about as far from inside-the-box as it has ever been. Come to think about it, that figurative "box" is probably now created by a 3D printer, or imagined in a virtual reality world. Said another way, innovation is no longer a differentiator, it's a requirement. That's the world we live in.
So here's where we come in. Today's marketing and technology landscape is peppered with great software tools, tactics and even talent, much of it now incredibly specialized. Whether you're looking to build a modern marketing team, find new customers, retain old ones, or create a totally new channel, we help you connect the dots. We'll roll up our sleeves, identify sustainable paths to reach your goals, then get out of the way when it makes sense for you. We don't get excited about billing hours or spending media dollars, but in driving results and helping you fill existing gaps. You can think of us as an extension of your executive team, looking out for your bottom line, while pushing you toward new ideas for growth.
Sounds great. But what can you actually do?
Our greatest strengths lie in customizing our services to meet the needs of clients. That said, the best way for us to answer that question is to talk about a few recent projects we’ve completed:
Analyzed the patient intake process for a leading behavioral health organization in the southeast, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and then implementing a CRM solution customized to suit their operational needs.
Created a pilot media program for a California-based chain of orthodontic clinics, overseeing media strategy, planning, and creative execution of both online and offline assets.
Developed a new nurture communication series for a midwest-based provider of behavior management training services, helping them leverage an existing CRM to execute marketing segmentation.
Helped re-brand an e-commerce logistics company making a shift into physical product development, which included a website overhaul, thought leadership program, and a trade show execution strategy.
United by a passion for results, and a love of Cleveland sports.
JON EGGLETON, MANAGING PARTNER
Jon has spent nearly all of his career in digital, beginning in 1998 when he was hired to launch a new affiliate program for OfficeMax.com. It was during his tenure there that he developed a passion for the e-commerce and digital space. After OfficeMax, he held management posts within the e-commerce divisions of Things Remembered, Home Shopping Network (HSN), and American Greetings, then relocated to Atlanta in 2009 to build a new e-commerce brand for Progressive Lighting, a leading brick-and-mortar lighting retailer and wholesaler. Just eight months after launching the site, LightsOnline.com was named to Internet Retailer’s “Hot 100” List for 2011.
Prior to co-founding Traktion, Jon most recently was the brand CMO for turnstone, a Steelcase division focused on emerging businesses. Serving again in a highly intrapreneurial role, he was tasked with leading a digital transformation within an organization seeking to build off of its strengths in third-party distribution.
Jon’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications from Ohio University, with an MBA in Marketing from Cleveland State University. He has been a guest contributor for Entrepreneur.com, SmallBizTechnology, and been quoted in publications such as Internet Retailer. Jon is an avid runner who also enjoys writing, travel, and trying new craft beers. As a native of Cleveland, Ohio, he is a frequent advocate (and sometimes defender) of the Rust Belt, and sports teams that hail from The Land. He lives just outside Atlanta in the community of Decatur, Georgia, with his two young sons.
Ryan Woolley, MANAGING PARTNER
Ryan is a results-oriented leader with nearly two decades of experience crafting and executing digital marketing strategies. His focus has been on helping organizations scale their marketing efforts to profitably acquire new customers or patients within the retail, healthcare and home services verticals. Ryan’s digital adventure began in 1998, working with a team to bring his alma mater's student newspaper online for the first time, feeling fortunate to have been in a place in time where commerce, communication and the consumption of media transformed from analog to digital. During the early 2000’s he honed his skills in web design and development, later becoming passionate about performance-based marketing as the question “how do I market my business digitally” began to arise.
Prior to co-founding Traktion, Ryan held various leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Response Mine Interactive, a digital marketing agency based in Atlanta, culminating in his last role as SVP of Digital Marketing. Over a nine-year RMI career, Ryan had the opportunity to work with world-class brands on developing marketing strategies that positively transformed their bottom line, including Staples, Carter's/Oshkosh B'gosh, Rooms To Go, Terminix, TruGreen, Laser Spine Institute, Miracle Ear, Liberty Medical and countless others.
Ryan is a proud graduate of Kent State University, and enjoys staying active outdoors, coaching youth sports, and drinking craft beers. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Ryan is also a die-hard fan of the city and its sports teams. He lives in Decatur, Georgia, just outside of metro Atlanta, with his wife and two young boys.
